A biosensor for the measurement of lactate in serum has been developed, which is based on a screen-printed carbon electrode, modified with Meldola's Blue-Reinecke Salt (MBRS-SPCE), coated with the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase NAD+ dependent (from Porcine heart), and NAD+. A dye used in biosensors | [Description]
Meldola's Blue [7057-57-0], the condensa tion product of nitrosodimethylaniline and naphthol, was described in 1879; it is the old est industrially produced oxazine dye. In 1928, Kr¨ anzlein, Greune, and Thiele discovered the group of dioxazine dyes by reaction of aromatic amines with chloranil followed by cyclization, the triphendioxazine base structure itself being known since 1890. |
