Uses
Dimethylsilylene)bis(2-methyl-4-phenylindenyl)zirconium dichloride can be used as organic synthesis intermediate and pharmaceutical intermediate, mainly used in laboratory research and development process.
Synthesis
To a solution of (2-methyl-4-phenylindenyl) silane ether / hexane = 1/1 (12.4 mmol) in 240 mL of n-butyllithium(2.5 M in hexane) was slowly added dropwise at -78 ° C. After that, the mixture was stirred at room temperature for one day, filtered and vacuum dried to obtain a pale yellow solid. After filtration and vacuum drying, (Dimethylsilylene)bis(2-methyl-4-phenylindenyl)zirconium dichloride was obtained in a yield of 70% (racemic only).
