Pigment Red 273 is used as a food dye.

4-Amino-5-methoxy-2-methylbenzenesulfonic acid diazo, and 6-Hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid coupling, and then into aluminum salt deposit color.

Properties and Applications
yellow light red. Orange red fine powder, odourless. Hardly soluble in water, oil and most solvent, but can be scattered, mixed with water, oil liquid and solid powder.
