First Aid MeasuresBack to Contents
【Ingestion】

If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting. Allow the victim to rinse his mouth and then to drink 2-4 cupfuls of water, and seek medical advice.
【Ingestion】

Seek medical assistance.
【Inhalation】

TOXIC; inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact with material may cause severe injury or death. Effects of contact or inhalation may be delayed.
【Inhalation】

Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
【Inhalation】

Move victim to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim ingested or inhaled the substance; induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult.
【Skin】

Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.
【Skin】

Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Immediately flush with running water for at least 20 minutes. For minor skin contact, avoid spreading material on unaffected skin.
【Skin】

Contact with molten substance may cause severe burns to skin and eyes. See Inhalation.
【Eyes】

First check the victim for contact lenses and remove if present. Flush victim's eyes with water or normal saline solution for 20 to 30 minutes while simultaneously calling a hospital or poison control center. Do not put any ointments, oils, or medication in the victim's eyes without specific instructions from a physician. IMMEDIATELY transport the victim after flushing eyes to a hospital even if no symptoms (such as redness or irritation) develop.
【Eyes】

See Inhalation.
【Eyes】

Immediately flush with running water for at least 20 minutes.
Handling and StorageBack to Contents
【Storage】

Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Keep away from sources of ignition. Do not store in direct sunlight. Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances Flammables-area. Keep away from acids. Do not store in aluminum containers. Store in iron, steel, or glass containers.
【Handling】

Empty containers retain product residue, (liquid and/or vapor), and can be dangerous. Avoid contact with heat, sparks and flame. Do not pressurize, cut, weld, braze, solder, drill, grind, or expose empty containers to heat, sparks or open flames.
Hazards IdentificationBack to Contents
【Ingestion】

See Inhalation.
【Inhalation】

May cause asthmatic attacks due to allergic sensitization of the respiratory tract. May cause severe irritation of the respiratory tract with possible burns. Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation.
【Skin】

Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Continued contact can cause tissue necrosis. Causes skin irritation and possible burns.
【Eyes】

May cause 'blue haze' or 'halo vision'. Causes severe eye irritation and possible burns. Contact with the eyes may cause corneal damage. May cause chemical conjunctivitis.
【Ingestion】

Harmful if swallowed. Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Ingestion may cause severe burns of the mouth and stomach.
【Hazards】

Vapor is heavier than air. May travel a considerable distance to a source of ignition and flash back.
【Hazards】

Contact with metals may evolve flammable hydrogen gas.

Exposure Controls/Personal ProtectionBack to Contents
【Personal Protection】

Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing and goggles.
【Personal Protection】

Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing and goggles. Always wear thermal protective clothing when handling refrigerated/cryogenic liquids.
【Respirators】

Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
【Respirators】

A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use. Wear a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved full-facepiece airline respirator in the positive pressure mode with emergency escape provisions.
【Exposure Effects】

Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. Effects may be delayed. Chronic exposure may cause lung damage. Prolonged exposure may cause liver, kidney, and heart damage.
【Exposure limit(s)】

OSHA PEL: TWA 10 ppm (18 mg/m3) NIOSH REL: TWA 10 ppm (18 mg/m3) NIOSH IDLH: 600 ppm

【Fire Fighting】

Extinguish using agent most appropriate for surrounding fire.
【Fire Fighting】

Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Do not extinguish fire unless flow can be stopped. Use water in flooding quantities as fog. Solid streams of water may be ineffective. Cool all affected containers with flooding quantities of water. Apply water from as far a distance as possible. Use alcohol foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. Use water spray to knock-down vapors.

【Fire Potential】

Non-combustible, substance itself does not burn but may decompose upon heating to produce corrosive and/or toxic fumes.
【Fire Potential】

Very flammable, combustion imminent.
Accidental Release MeasuresBack to Contents
【Small spills/leaks】

Absorb spill with inert material, (e.g., dry sand or earth), then place into a chemical waste container. Clean up spills immediately, using the appropriate protective equipment. For small spills, cover with sodium bisulfate and spray with water.
【Small spills/leaks】

ELIMINATE all ignition sources. Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Stop leak if you can do it without risk. Absorb or cover with dry earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers. DO NOT GET WATER INSIDE CONTAINERS.
