General procedure: Aliphatic ketone or aldehyde (1.0 mmol), BSA (244 μL, 1.0mmol) and PS-BEMP (10 mol %, 45 mg)were added in a vial and stirred at 60°C and for the time reported in the manuscript. The productswere isolated by distillation under pressure to give the pure products. Trimethyl-(cyclohex-1-enyloxy)-silane (yellow oil, 81% yield, 140 mg) 1H-NMR (200MHz, CDCl3)δ:0.12 (s, 9H), 1.31-1.54 (m, 4H), 1.78-1.93 (m, 4H), 4.67-4.71 (m, 1H). The spectroscopic data of7p are in accordance with those described in the literature.16
