23 Synthesis of Compound (34):

To a solution of compound (33) (1.83 g, 8.35 mmol) in dry CH₂Cl₂(41.75 mL) was added a mixture of pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) (5.4 g, 25.1 mmol). The resulting suspension was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours, filtered through a pad of silica gel, washed with CH₂Cl₂and concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by flash column chromatography to afford the compound (34) in a yield of 92%. (0262) Spectral data of compound (34): ¹H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl₃): δ 7.54 (dd, J=8.6, 5.9 Hz, 1H), 7.35 (dd, J=8.3, 2.5 Hz, 1H), 7.08 (ddd, J=8.6, 7.7, 2.5 Hz, 1H), 2.62 (s, 3H). ¹⁹F NMR (376 MHz, CDCl₃): δ -107.01 (s, 1F).
