Steps:

4 Biotin-NHS
To a solution of N,N'-disuccinimidyl carbonate ( 12.7 g, 49.5 mmol) and biotin ( 11.0 g, 45.0 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (50.0 mL) was added triethylamine TEA (31.4 mL, 0.225 mol) . The reaction mixture was stirred for 16 hours. The solid was filtered, washed with diethyl ether and dried under vacuum to yield Biotin-NFIS ( 11.2 g, 0.0328 mol, yield : 72.9 percent) as a white solid and used without further purification.
